This was my second collaboration with Jump!, a California based non-profit working with seniors in many ways — in this instance, to help 92 year-old Louise Spencer fulfill a bucket-list item. This active senior always wanted to drive an 18-wheeler semi truck because of seeing her husband, a life-long truck driver, traverse the country in a big rig hauling freight — Webb Weiman and Jump! made it possible for Louise to drive a semi days within her 92nd birthday!
I collaborated with Elliot Malcolm to tackle a half day following Louise around her living quarters, and then a full day for family interviews and the driving of the rig itself. This event attracted all sorts of local media, including Boyd Huppert of Kare 11. There were literally 8+ GoPros in the cab while Louise drove the semi — it was kind of a zoo to get some of these shots.
