Gametime is an app for your phone which allows users to buy tickets to upcoming sporting events, along the lines of a StubHub. Their app not only sells tickets to upcoming Minnesota sporting events, but also has photos from the section of the stadium where your potential seat would be.
That’s where I come in — I was contracted by Gametime to take photos at many of Minnesota’s professional and college stadiums. My job is to circle the stadium, taking photos from each section and submitting them to Gametime. Easy right? Sometimes, yes, but most of the time, no. It’s tough to fight through crowds and get shots of the playing surface without upsetting spectators, it’s a time crunch to photograph the entire stadium before the game concludes and even harder to battle those event and security personnel who want to keep anyone out of the aisles during game action.
So far I have profiled: Xcel Energy Center for the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Swarm (lacrosse) , TCF Bank Stadium for both the Minnesota Vikings and Gophers Football, Target Center for the Timberwolves, Mariucci for Gophers Hockey and Williams Arena for Gophers Men’s Basketball.
