Welcome to my site — I hope you enjoy my work.
A little about me: I have a double major from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Journalism and Studies in Cinema & Media Culture. In my studies I learned not only how stories unfold, both in fiction and non-fiction, but how to deliver them with many different tools.
I learned how to operate multiple types of cameras, audio recorders and production editing softwares — I learned a wealth of skills that showed me how to fashion and package stories, take better photos, operate on a working film set from all positions, edit captured media, and how to manage it all into top quality finished media products.
Since graduation, I have created my own short films, worked on many production crews, photographed/recorded various events and spectacles around the Twin Cities, worked weddings as a videographer, and so much more. Check out my portfolio for a chronicle of my experiences.
I am happily married to a wonderful woman. Her name is Cadi. Together we recently had our first child, Henry Fischer, born April 2015. I love the drama of sports and love to root on all my Minnesota home teams. I love playing softball — yes, the underhand kind.
I have worked on large and small budget productions, in all sorts of positions, from director to production assistant. My portfolio of work includes weddings, promotional videos, short films, concerts and music videos.
